The story behind Casegrid
Why this site exists, in the words of the person who made it.
My daughter is really into detective and mystery games. Whenever she wants to play, she has to go to a mall quite far away for an escape room, which isn’t very convenient. So I wanted to create a series of online mystery cases for her to explore.
I did add some difficulty, but not to the cases themselves — rather, I chose to raise the language difficulty by using English: a non-native language for her, but an international one. This way, it not only satisfies her interest but also helps her learn English subtly.
I also added some math-related mini-games to improve her logical reasoning. Some friends around me needed something similar too, so I developed this website.
The site keeps two shelves: Mystery cases to solve, and Maths puzzles with one answer. Every case is one sitting, every puzzle has exactly one honest answer, and nothing asks for an account.
