Beam Arithmetic

MathsArithmeticTimedThree levels

Twelve drones, one sum each, one clock each. Answer in time and the beam fires; miss and a shield goes.

Controls — Type the answer, then Fire. Digits, Backspace and Enter work too.

How to play

  1. Each drone carries one sum. Type the answer and fire before the bar empties.
  2. A hit scores 100 plus up to 100 more for the time left on the clock.
  3. A wrong answer or an empty bar costs a shield. Three shields, twelve drones.

Tips

  • Read the operation before the numbers: 7 − 8 needs no time at all, 7 × 8 needs a beat.
  • The bar keeps moving while you type — decide first, then type.
  • Division is always whole here, so a quotient with a remainder cannot be right.

About this game

Beam Arithmetic is a shooting gallery whose only ammunition is a correct answer. The drone order is drawn from the clock when you start, so no two runs are the same.

Three levels change the clock and the operations rather than the rules: Cadet has eight seconds and two operations, Lumen has six and four.

FAQ

Does it speed up?

The clock shortens by level; the order of the drones stays fixed for a run.

Can I use a keyboard?

Yes — digits, Backspace and Enter all work.

What if I run out of time?

The drone passes, you lose a shield, and the next sum arrives.
