Controls — Tap a line of enquiry, or press Space to read on. Refreshing the page starts the case again.
How to play
- Read the room, then pick a line of enquiry. The night clock in the header moves on with every line.
- Anything you find lands in the Evidence drawer, top right. Some of it only surfaces if you press the right person.
- When you can name the thief, accuse. A wrong name closes the case for good.
Tips
- Talk to everyone once before you push anyone twice — the alibis only break when compared.
- The camera gap is the spine of the case. Everything else is a way of dating it.
- A missing piece of evidence is information too: note who could not have taken it.
About this game
Nine Minutes Missing is a sealed-room detective story told in one sitting. Four guests, one storm, and a stretch of corridor footage that stops for exactly nine minutes.
The case is told in short pieces of dialogue: a few lines at a time, with the detail that matters usually sitting in the sentence you just read rather than in a footnote.
No download, no account, no tracking, no ads.
FAQ
How long is a case?
About ten minutes for a first run, less once you know who to press.
How much reading is there?
Short scenes, a few lines each. One interview is about a screen of text, and the evidence drawer keeps the useful lines.
Can I lose?
You can accuse the wrong person and close the file early. Restarting is one tap.
